I have been assisting faculty with technology at Tompkins Cortland Community College since 1988. Among other initiatives, as Instructional Software Specialist and a member of the SUNY Learning Network, he has spearheaded the College’s initiative to provide online courses and Web enhanced instructional content since the mid 1990’s.
More recently, I have taken on the endeavor to encourage faculty at the College to provide Open Textbooks and other Open Educational Resources for student benefit, and he is a member of the SUNY FACT2 Task Group for the investigation of E-Publishing. He has also been teaching an online course on Web Design for over ten years. Bob holds a Master’s Degree in Communication from Ithaca College.
On a personal note, I have a deep and abiding interest in Non-Dual philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, as taught by many Eastern and Western teachers, including Echardt Tolle, Adyashanti, and Stuart Schwartz, among many others. This involves a deep inquiry into the nature of the "Self" through repeatedly questioning "Who am I?", and exploring the inner barriers to being fully present in the moment.
